Speak out on health care facility regulations – Comments due by December 1

The Indiana Health Care Facilities Task Force is requesting comments from the public on health care facility regulations. The Task Force is currently meeting and gathering information concerning health care facility issues and the survey process. The Task Force is studying and reviewing:

• The current surveying process for hospital and health facility licensure, and ways to make the process of hospital and health facility licensure more efficient through use of third party accreditation authorities.
• The American Institute of Architects guidelines for the design and construction of hospitals and health care facilities.
• National Fire Prevention Association standards for hospitals and health care facilities.

The Task Force is inviting comments from the public on the focus areas listed above. Comments need to be received by the Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) by December 1, 2017 in order to be considered by the Task Force in preparing its final report.
