American Health Care Act Pulled Without a Vote

Last week, Fifth Freedom sent out an alert saying the House of Representatives was scheduled to vote on the American Health Care Act of 2017 (AHCA). However, lacking needed support for the bill, House Speaker Paul Ryan pulled the bill from the floor without a vote.  The AHCA would have repealed and replace the Affordable Care Act (“Obamacare, and made serious cuts to Medicaid spending, reducing the amount of Medicaid funding states receive for the elderly, individuals with disabilities, children, and all other adults.

According to Congressional insiders, Republicans are likely to move on from health care reform and tackle tax reform next.

Thanks for your help, advocates!
