Event Navigation

Information courtesy of the Southeast ADA Center

“ADA Live!” is a monthly radio show broadcast free on the Internet. Ask questions and learn about your rights and responsibilities under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Leaders in the field will share their knowledge, experience and successful strategies that increase the participation of persons with disabilities in communities and businesses.

The next episode is “Emergencies: How to Prepare for Them and What To Do Afterwards”. An emergency can mean a flood, fire, earthquake, hurricane or other natural disaster. However, an emergency can also be a natural gas leak, a sudden sinkhole in your neighborhood, or a tree falling on your house. Emergencies can happen without warning, so most of us are unprepared for them. Learn what people with disabilities should do before, during, and after an emergency.

Listen here, and get live captioning here.
