On June 26, tune in to an informative webinar from the Mid-Atlantic ADA Center to learn how to make sports more accessible. Representatives from the US Access Board will provide a thirty-minute overview of the minimum scoping and technical requirements for newly constructed and altered sports facilities required to comply with the 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design and the Architectural Barriers Act. Topics will include playing fields and courts, as well as exercise equipment, saunas and steam rooms, bowling lanes, and shooting facilities. The webinar will also address auxiliary spaces like player seating, locker rooms, and press boxes.
