Election Assistance Commission wants to hear from voters with disabilities

Information courtesy of the Election Assistance Commission

The Help America Vote Act (HAVA) included provisions requiring that people with disabilities be able to vote in a secure, private, and independent way. For twelve years, the Election Assistance Commission has worked with election officials to promote these access requirements. While improvements have been made, there is still work to be done.

If you are a voter with disabilities, the Election Assistance Commission wants to hear from you. If you have an experience you would like to share, positive or negative, send your voting stories to Your stories will be used to guide future initiatives that will improve accessibility and empower voters with disabilities.

Thanks for your help, advocates!
